can you set up your own business in korea if you are a foreigner? what abou freelance work, can you do that? wot visas do you need for them? |

Sure, but you have to have 50 million won to back it up. In return, you can apply for and receive an invester visa. You can find information on the proceedure and visa via a simple Internet search. Actually setting up the company is pretty easy once you have the visa out of the way.
If I recall, you also need to prove that your company generates 50 million won per year, too.
Definitely get a Korean to help you, and take advantage of the foreigner assistance and information centers that have cropped up as of late. Contacting immigration directly rather than soliciting information on a non-related site is also highly recommended. |

If you do get 50.000.000 won together, you will get an investors VISA, if you have an F2 or F5 visa, it doesn't matter.
When registering your business, you can do any business you can think of as long as it is legal ... |
