I am coming to Seoul next week and start teaching Sept 1. I suffer from common cold and throat infection very often. Are medicines available in Korea over the counter like these:
- Formula 44 cough syrup or similar
- Green gel caps for Night Time with decongestent
- Cold formula elixer drink, same as gel caps but liquid
- Nasal spray for clogged nose

And for the throat infection, do they sell penicillin there or should I bring a load from home (Thailand).
My school does have medical insurance, but I am not sure what is involved with going to see the doctor there. Is it easy and cheap to see the doctor if your school has insurance.
I was sick there about 5 years ago and went searching for medicine with a Korean friend. No cough syrup to be found in all of Gangnam at that time.
I'm really excited to be coming next week!

Thanks,
Drew

If you need those specific things, you should probably bring a supply to last for at least a few months.

However, psuedoephedrine is more widely available than it is in the good old US of A these days.
