What's the one thing you wish you had known before coming to Korea?

How to speak Korean.

I've learned, but my first few years here would have been much more fulfilling if I had the language ability I have now.

Also, I wish I would have known that the whole notion of Asian "efficiency" was completely off-base, and that lying is much more socially acceptable here.

The whole concept of honesty being "rude" still gets to me.

nothing. the learning was the fun part. towards the end of my time in korea, i missed the feeling of every day and every experience being new. it was so exciting. i used to get a rush from going to e-mart.
