I don't know about all of you, but for the past 6-7 weeks I've been sitting at my desk for 8 hours. I'm very happy that school is back in session.

So enjoy the new semester!!!!

I am living the Canadian dream today as I am getting paid to watch hockey all day. Do you think they would mind if I brought a few Molsons along.

I have just been shoved in one of the classrooms and told to relax for the day.

8 weeks at the desk would suck. I had 45 days off and only did 8 half days the whole winter.

afsjesse. Thank God I'm not the only one! Its so bad when all the other ps teachers are talking about how they just do half days.

I have been doing a MASSIVE amount of deskwarming as well. It wouldn't be so bad if I had some project to get on with but I just wasted my time.

Anyways I got a new vice-principle so I hope in the future she will see the sillyness of keeping me at my desk doing nothing and will instruct me to leave.

I totally agree. A "reason" to come in would have been wonderful. All I got was "it's not in your contract" etc.... Glad it's over!

I just met my new 'handler'... she's young and this is her first job since graduating university. Perfect! I am explaining how things will be. Cool

I teach three classes today and the opening ceremony is tomorrow.... beyond that I know nothing (yet). Wink

It may be good news. If you get a co-teacher who expects very little of you, that will be the best news you can get.

I'm hoping my new co-teacher will be as easy-going as she seems. It's early days though. Cool
