|
|
I am wondering if anyone has had success getting on to planes for Korea on a tourist visa lately with a one-way ferry ticket from Busan to Fukuoka as proof of onward travel?
Also, does anyone know where I can find a current schedule for the Camelia overnight ferry from Busan to Fukuoka and return. Is there anywhere online where I can make a reservation and get a printable paper confirmation for that ferry so as to show proof of onward travel at the airport? |

Yup, I did it in December last year, booked a ticket for Fukuoka, printed out the receipt, and showed it to Korean Air before I left. No problems. |

Thanks!
Another question, which airport did you fly out of? And which ferry did you take? How much was it? Just a one-way ticket? |

One more question I forgot: which airline did you fly with? |

Flew out of Auckland airport. Took the Mirejet/Beetle ferry from Pusan to Fukuoka then back again to Korea. It was 13000 yen, which took about 250NZD out of my credit card. Originally a one way ticket, but I later bought another one way back (cheap bastards wouldnt change my ticket to return so I could have a discount ). |

I did the same thing but I didn't even have to show the receipt. They asked and I told them I was continuing on to Japan and they took my word for it. Probably not a good idea to count on that though.
Also, I was not even asked about it until I arrived in Korea. |

I was never asked in Korea, only by Korean Air before they would give me my boarding pass. |
