This one doesn't qualify for the existing thread on oxymorons because it is an Italian oxymoron:
violoncello is an oxymoron because it means "big little bowed string instrument."

Let me explain:
A viol is a bowed string instrument.
A violin is a small bowed string instrument. No problem there.
A violon is a large bowed string instrument, or a double bass.
A violoncello is so-called because it is larger than most bowed string instruments, but is small compared with a double bass.

Actually, it's not 4 years,l it's 3 years 8 months.
Thank you for bumping my thread 3 years 8 months later.

Anyway, here's another oxymoron similar to the one suggested by D. D.:
Korean English class.

"Industrial park" has always struck me as self-contradictory.
