Hello, I was wondering if anyone knew people who had been able to get an e-2 visa after being fined for teaching privates. The fine was 1 million won and was paid, it was about a year ago but now it is time for a new visa and cant get a clear answer from immigration, just want to know if anyone knows anyone who got a visa after getting a fine or got rejected then I can calculate my odds- thx!

I think you should be commenting on another thread that was polling regarding this very thing (not getting a new visa but rather what the punishment should be if one was caught teaching privates). I guess I stand corrected if you were fined and allowed to stay in the country.
