Jennifer - You can find many knock off Prada, Gucci, Vitton, D+G bags in the Hermit Kingdom. I have absolutely no idea why I am responding to this thread.

I guess the main reason is this - What is it with pocket books and the female psychy?

Advice:

Don't buy knock-offs for a KGF. There are websites in Korea
that contain authenticity checklists for Prada, Gucci etc. I bought
my wife a Prada wallet in HK for US$500.00 The first thing she
did was go to the internet and check if it was real. Haha, Korean
women, gotta luv 'em.

A student told me the "real fakes" are pretty good - don't know where to get them though.

Is it a rite of passage to buy one of those when you are a newbie who doesn't know how to get anywhere?

I stupidly bought mine the first time that I was in Itaewon. Later on, I discovered those 10-15,000 Won shops that sold nothing but handbags, not caring much about designer labels, I thought I'd died and gone to heaven...and then there was that beautiful spring day when I splurged a little on a really nice leather bag in hot pink.

Shopping for clothes and shoes here can be a chore, handbags, not so much. Have a good time!
