Hi, all. The subject is my question. Do you know anything about Pyeongtaek University's work environment for English Instructors? |

It has been four years since I lived in Pyeongtaek, but at the time when I was in the area they had a fairly good reputation among their English teachers. I knew several students from the U that said they enjoyed working with the language department. Not sure about the conditions presently since I have lived in the area for several years now. |

Hi MissSeoul,
Working at a 'famous' university is not that important to most foreigners. We just want to know about the work environment, the conditions of the contract, the current staff, etc.
Having said that, I did talk to a student at this university once, and she was an English Lit major. I only remember her telling me about a Canadian PhD that works there. He seems to hold a high position, but I'm sure he's in the English department. |

I taught a summer camp there in 2006, the facility is very comfortable.
I do know that it is a Christian liberal arts school, so you probably won't be forced to go out drinking with your boss. However they may require you to attend church and/or chapel services. |
