I have a quesiton.
In order for you to get your pension you have to go with a flight ticket and your ARC card.
However does anyone know what happens if i change the date of my flight ticket after i show the original ticket to the pension officess?? |

You might find it hard to get an answer here as most people who have taken the pension refund have left Korea and probably this forum as well.
Good luck |

Even though you have a ticket, I think the Pension office double checks with Immigration to make sure you've left the country and haven't come back in.
Hence, the 1-2 month wait before you get your Pension refund. |

They say they check it, but they may not. There would be no harm in trying. Try it and get back to us whether it worked or not. You wouldn't have to wait two or three months longer if you change the departure date, though. That's just a bunch of BS. It only takes them a couple of days to deposit the money after your flight departs. They can tell you when it will be deposited when applying for your refund. Just check your account on the day they say it'll be there. If it's not there, give them a call and find out if it's because you didn't leave or if there are any delays. Don't tell them you changed the departure date on your ticket right off the bat. If they mention that you didn't leave Korea, you might have to go back in to show them the new departure date and give them an excuse as to why you didn't leave. |
