I'm looking for a good monolingual learners' dictionary. I know that there are quite a few options, and I'm not sure which is best. Can someone recommend a good one for me?

I like the Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English; mainly because it lists word frequency as well as meaning and pronunciation. High frequency words are marked as such (S2 = among the 2,000 most frequent words of spoken English, W3 = among the 3,000 most frequent words of written English etc.). The dictionary marks words up to the most frequent 4,000 word level which is a great help deciding which are the most useful words to teach/learn.

can't beat the old oxford dictionary.

I find the webster has too many spelling mistakes, things like gray instead of grey and mold instead of mould Laughing

oxford instead of Oxford?
lol

I also like the Collins edition I have at home; whenever there is an obscenity on a page, the editors have managed to get it on* as a headword.
Dictionaries are fun! sad, but true.
*Pun intended
