A few questions:

Does the medical check need to be from a Korean hospital? I got a thorough STD check at the free clinic in New York in December- I could probably track them down and have them send me something, but I don't know if this will suffice. Also, what, if any, is the bottom line on whether or not a drug test is required??

Also, don't I have 90 days to get the medical exam? Or was that false information I heard somewhere?

Next, I heard a nasty rumor that once you get a lump sum tax refund at the end of your contract, you can't get it again?? This makes no sense, and I doubt it's true, because where does that money go if they never give it to you again?? But I'm a little worried, because I got the lump sum refund at the end of my first year.

Lastly (for now), though I have a while to figure this out, am I required to get a new criminal background check for my next visa, even if I renew with my school and have been in Korea for the entire last year since my last background check??
