Not a good dayfor the Canucks as all the teams close to them are winning. Canucks will pushed down to 10th place today.
I think they still need to add a couple new players. |

you have to believe that Lou. is going to find his game, and when he does, then we could be a VERY dangerous team. Granted, i'm not the most unbiased person when it comes to the 'Nucks, but we have a pretty darn good bunch of boys this year.
On a side note, when they hired Gillis, I was on the verge of vomitting, but I have to say that he has made some pretty darn good moves; Johnson, Hordichuck, Demitra, Bernier, and O'Brien have all brought positive things to the team. Not to mention the Sundin signing looks pretty good these days, especially for Kesler. I have always loved this guys heart, and now we some some genuine skill. Couple Kes' leadership abilites with a Hodgson, PLUS Edler, Schnieder, Hansen, and Sauve, and I think our future is going to be bright, if not brighter than our present.
So to answer your original question, all I will say is this, i'm already starting to save some to go back to BC to watch the parade.

They can and will...Luongo should be back in form soon.
Barring injuries, I hope they take out Calgary in the first round, shock the world by crushing the Sharks in the second, pummel the injury depleted Wings in the conference final, and go on to win it in seven against a very good Bruins.
If you don't buy my predictions, just check out how awesome I am in the Dave's Saturday Night pool. |

If Vancouver does make it to the finals, I have a bad feeling that they would be meeting New Jersey. I don't like the Devils at all (Flyers fan here) but they are hot and knocking off all the good teams right now. |

We dug a bit of a hole a few weeks back owing to Luongo's injury and Sundin's shakiness, but the pressure that seemed to send everyone into a bit of a negative spiral is easing, the grey clouds seem to be lifting, and anyone who doesn't recognize this team as a serious contender focusing too much on that recent blip and not enough on the big picture.
Now we're firing across a bunch of lines. Burrows with the Sedins has been working well recently, and the RPM line has been producing, so I have confidence that when these lines solidify (and become hot at the same time -- it seems like when one's hot the other's not) we're going to be a serious threat and recover a lot of lost ground.
Our fast and furious play against Montreal was a good sign of things to come. Nucks will definitely make the playoffs. And make a good run for the Cup. |

I am from Vancouver but I am a big Washington fan. They look like a near lock to get in right now.
I find it extremely hard to cheer for the Canucks because of their super annoying play by play radio announcers on The Team 1040. Shorthouse and Larscheid I believe.
Massive whiny homers.
That being said, it'd be nice if Vancouver got into the playoffs. As long as they don't do it at the expense of my second favorite team, the Oilers. I don't think Edmonton will make it though.
Thanks for beating the Rehabs though. I hate the Canadians with a passion. |

lol @ sports fans who refer to their team in the first person, e.g. 'all WE need to do is get another player and WE'll be in'. unless you're ON the team or somehow manage the team, your favorite sports team has nothing to do with 'you'. |

They might make the playoffs, but they're not going to do much more than that.
Finals... |

Agreed. The Canucks are destined to fail yet again.
They use to have a killer offense and no goalie (Lidstrom from half - GOAL!)
Now they have a superstar goalie -albeit shaky since the injury - and a questionable offense and VERY suspect defense.
Maybe next decade Canuckleheads.. maybe next decade... |
