A McDonalds customer basically declared a national emergency over the store being out of chicken McNuggets! Is this 911 call funny or what? I fell over laughing. Best laugh I've had in a while.

Wow, those NBC newscasters sure seem to be a bunch of obnoxious a$$holes. Yet more evidence americans need decent news programs. It seemed to me like the woman had her money taken from her and didn't know who to call to rectify the situation. An honest mistake, and people are laughing uproariously at her on national television. Pretty despicable behavior for journalists.

I do not want to make fun of this woman. Joe Scarborough was doing so. Part of the reason many African Americans sound like her is because they were for so long out of the mainstream and have so many African influences when speaking English, and many of them go to bad schools, but Scarborough and them do not want invest in social programs or to uplift the impoverished who didn't have their opportunities.

Anyway, the woman was still violating the law by calling 911. I can understand she is not educated and didn't understand the ramifications of her actions, but she has probably watched TV and seen that only when people have medical emergencies or are in danger do they call 911.

I think they shouldn't have played that tape and shown her picture.

What's the number to call the police? 0? Seriously, if you want to call the police-the woman had her money stolen from her in point of fact-what number do you call?

I thought she sounded perfectly reasonable. If it were me, I would have reached over and taken the money from the till. You can't give me what I ordered, but you won't give me back my money? Oh, hell no!

They were probably just glad to have some "lighter news" to report.
Still, they were anoids to dog on her so hard.

Some white lady called 911 over Burger King messing her order 4 times.
She sounded articulate, but she was still being stupid. And the silly thing was the 911 person was trying to reason her. Imagine if you're a kid and this is your mom and then your friends find out. Oh boy! I have no sympathy for this woman who called 9/11 over Chicken McNuggets.
She called the number 3 times! She should know better.

Last month, another Florida resident called 911 over a perceived fast food foul-up.

Jean Fortune, 66, dialed 911 to complain that the Boynton Beach branch of Burger King was out of lemonade to go with his chicken combo meal.

My old room mate was a 911 operator. He got many good calls that were funny. The best led to this fiasco which eventually was picked up by the Daily Show,
enjoy.

The non-emergency number for police in many places in the US is 3-1-1.

She did not have her money stolen from her. She tendered money for a service and an alternative service of the same value was offered her due to an apparent policy of "all sales are final." Now, I've never been to a Micky Dee's with such a policy; every time I've been and they've run out of something I've ordered and paid for, they've refunded the money to me.

The unreasonable part is calling the emergency response number. That was not an emergency. Really? How many people in the US do you really think have no idea of what 9-1-1 is for?

And if she had grabbed the money out of the till, then she would have been committing a different crime.

LOL. Are you serious? Have you ever lived in the states? There is no "African" influence on modern day Ebonics. It's lazy slang English.

Freedom of the press. In Korea, the reporter would be put in prison or fined 50 million won. In the US, when stupid people are caught on tape, they are put on air.

Everyone knows that 911 is only for emergencies. Yes, even poor, uneducated blacks know that 911 is for emergencies.

The woman has a mental condition; not a poverty or lack of education condition.
