Im looking for advice as to what connection I should use. I recently purchased a syncmaster 2494 hm and have my xbox hooked up via vga. I have a macbook that I am going to hook up to it. I will be going from mini DVI into either DVI or HDMI. I will be doing everything from gaming to logic pro to watching movies. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance.

On a side note, does anyone recommend a good wireless keyboard/mouse combo. I dont feel like shelling out high prices for the apple gear. Thanks!

Can the Macbook output the audio through HDMI? What speaker set-up will you use?

I've read on tech sites that the quality of the video through DVI and HDMI is exactly the same. It's just that the HDMI can carry the audio as well as the video if the computer has that facility.

+1. That is a perfect summary.
