Are you a job seeker or university senior who is seeking a good job? The following is a success story about a contract bank worker who was promoted to an incredible opportunity.

Kim Ji-hye was promoted in September to the assistant manager at an industry loan business division of the Nonhyeon branch of the Industrial Bank of Korea in Seoul, from his contract worker position.

It was largely due to her ability to yield impressive results ― she opened 770 new bank accounts for military servicemen in just three months.

I had the goal to become a regular worker. So I decided to do something special, Kim said in a telephone interview with The Korea Times, Friday.

I asked a military base camp officer to give me a chance to introduce our housing account products to the servicemen, she said.

However, it was not easy at first. She secured just one customer on her first day of meetings.

I was disappointed, but I could not give up because my dream was to become a regular worker. So I tried it again.

This time, the 26-year-old brought along some snacks and drinks to get their attention. She also wore her best suit.
It worked. At least, I got their attention. I made 10 new accounts.

However, snacks would not be enough to continue to secure new clients.
So she decided to talk to them about marriage.

I said that women want to marry a man who has financial stability. If you want to marry a gorgeous girl, you should be prepared to buy an apartment, I told them. And then they became interested in the housing account.

Kim went to five base camps around the nation, including a training camp where some 300 new trainees enter every week. She signed up 700 new customers, and was promoted to the regular position three months ago.

Kim studied finance and insurance at Mokwon University in Daejeon. She took a contract job at the state-run company in February 2006. Since then, it was her goal to become a regular worker somewhere, and did so thanks to the servicemen.

I am enjoying my job. I hope all military serviceman will become our customers, said Kim, laughing loudly.

Smart girl! She found what interested those men the most, exploited it, and yielded a substantial return that has guaranteed her a job, quite possibly, for life! Kudos to her!

I hope she knows that she will never be promoted past her current position, ever. She reached the Korean Glass Ceiling at the age of 26. Kudos!
