Going to be working at Sweetie Language school in Seodaemun-gu starting mid-april? If anyone has heard anything bad about this school or if this is not a good location, please let me know...I also would like to know if 2.2 million won would be enough to live off of in korea? I don't care that it is only 1400 us dollars but can they get you alot in Korea? I currently do not have any bills in the States and saving money is not a huge factor in my decision to teach in Korea. I am more or less wanting to know if I could live quite comfortably on that salary a month? I am a 23 yr old male who will want to go out to bars, clubs, but probably only on the weekends. I would like to save US 100 or 200 dollars a month but I would not exchange the won to dollars until after the year is up or maybe even stay a couple years because of my youth. Thank you..Any feedback would be great. |

The question mark after mid-April was a mistake. |

2.2 is more than enough. you can live like a king on 2.2. expect to take home about 1.8 from that. you can live quite comfortably on 700-800. You'll be able to save about 400 KRW/month without even thinking about it if you don't have any bills. |

You will have no problem saving $100-$200 a month, particularly if you only go out on the weekend. You might invest in a Cooking For One cookbook so you'll be able to feed yourself during the week. |
