|
|
Is it legal to work for more than one location of the same franchise? Do you have to report it to immigration? I was offered a job and E-2 sponsorship by a certain franchise, and they wanted me to work at 3 different schools throughout the week. They made me a great offer, and I am curious to know if it is legal or not to do this. |

Your visa is for ONE location only, the location you originally contracted with. Without permission of Immigration, it is illegal to work in locations other than your main school, yes, even if you wish to work for other branches with the same school.
Go to Immigration and get permission for the other locations. You'll have the school's permission to do so, so Immigration will not deny the extra locations. They'll write them on the back of your ARC and you'll be all set to go.
Without the extra locations written on the back of the ARC (ie. Immigration's permission), it is illegal to work anywhere else. |

How many extra locations are allowed? As many as you want? Also, say you work at more than one school for your E-2 sponsor, can you still legally get a second job? |

You are allowed to add up to two extra workplaces. They cannot have longer hours or a higher salary than the original workplace. |

I've had four extra at one point. You can have as many extra as Immigration is willing to let you have. |

As with anthing to do with Immi, it seems the 'rules' are flexible.
The Immi/G4F website states that adding more than two workplaces (E-2 visa) in addition to the original is prohibited. |

Not true in my experience. Several of my coworkers are working three (or more) jobs and at least one of those pays higher than the sponsorship job. This is from the Omogkyo Office. |

I'll repeat -
