|
|
I've been trying to find a way to buy Mines of Moria expansion for LOTRO, but neither gmarket nor auction seem to have it.
Are there any famous online game retailers in Korea or a place in general where I could pick up a copy?
I'm assuming if the place sells WoW they should have LOTRO as well, but I haven't even seen WoW anywhere... |

Can't you get digital expansions form the LotRO website. I played it for 3 years from Korea and got both expansions through their site. |

Official site, steam, direct2drive, or one of the other online retailers. LoTR is run through one of the Korean portal sites in Korea so you likely won't find it for sale at all here. |

Official website only has Mines of Moria expansion pack itself (digital download) for about 30$ in the LOTRO store only. They don't however accept purchases from Korean IPs or maybe it's because I'm using a Korean credit card...and neither does this include free month gameplay.
Steam and Direct2Drive don't have this for sale either, so which is why I was wondering if anybody knows of any other way to buy it.
Direct2Drive has something called LOTRO VIP starter pack, which is basically free playtime, but no expansion pack.
Has anybody ever tried ordering from Amazon or is there a way to buy games through Kyobo? |

It's a bit of a drag but if you have no other option and really need the expansions, you can call Turbine customer service and explain that you are currently overseas. Their credit card system screens IPs, but they can manually push through CC payments over the phone. This is how I did it each time from Korea.
It's also one of the reasons I quit, I got tired of calling them up for crap like this. Oh well, just an option, good luck. |

play-asia.com has it on their site, but it's out of stock right now. Perhaps if you indicate interest, they will order more.

Or eBay is an option as well. That's what I had to do to get a WoW Cataclysm CE. |

I use direct2drive and like it. I've only bought MLB2K10 and NBA2K11. When I tried to get MLB2K10 they wanted to verify something so I e-mailed them told them I was a teacher in Korea and they let me have access. I had no trouble with NBA2K11. |
