Anybody buy a suit from Parkland or any other similar place?

I have three suits. One I bought at E-Mart for about 500k won and the other two were a two for one price of 500k at a chain outlet. I had a Korean friend haggle for me. Individually the suits were priced at 320k but because we had cash on hand we got a deal.

Anyway, those two cheaper suits, while modern in cut seem to attract lint like crazy and I'd love to avoid that particular niggle in my next suit purchase. I see lots of sales posted at various outlets like Parkland right now and was wondering if you guys have some experience with them?

If you have money like that to blow, you should just get your suits tailor made in Itaewon.

Hahn's is good but other places in Itaewon are good and cheaper.

Thanks, but I'm in Busan. I could do with a trip to Seoul though. Hmmmm....

Even in Busan you can find good tailors. Just ask around.

What's a good price for a tailor-made suit in Itaewon? I'm thinking of getting one after payday.

If materials/design are a factor, I want 100% wool (not worsted) or wool/cashmere blend with single-breasted, small lapels and matching trousers.

In Itaewon, Hahn's is really your best bet and you can expect to pay at least 450,000 won for a suit made with Korean fabric (pretty good quality). I'm not sure if you have many suits but if you don't have many, I would be careful with a wool/cashmere blend. If you know how to care for it, the blend can be quite nice but it does take a bit of extra care.

I've been to other places in Itaewon. Savile Row next to Hahn's is also decent and a bit cheaper. I have experience at a couple of other places in Itaewon but wouldn't recommend them.

The saying, "you get what you pay for" rings quite true.

You can get Zegna cloth from Hahn's but it'll cost more.
