I purchased a modded box around september of last year. I know how to download and burn the games no problem on mac. My question is regarding playing xbox live. I am a member of blackcats and every game I get from there says that it passes stealth check. What does stealth check mean?
I found out that I can pay 10 dollars a month for xbox live gold membership so I figure I might as well give it a shot and if i get banned im only out 10 bucks.
My concern is that when I connect to live will there be mandatory updates i will have to install? I know some games make you do this to play online. Will these mandatory updates affect my ability to play modded games?
I could care less about the 10 dollars if I get banned, I just want to make sure I can continue to play my burned games. Thanks! |

Updates won't effect your ability to play backup games.
Being banned from Xbox live will be permanent if it happens, so you loose 10 bucks, and that particular Xbox will not be able to go online again ever. (until someone figures out a way around it)
Stealthed is safer, but you should always run the game through ABGX360 to make sure the CRC/data matches the online database. Even stealthed, there is never a guarantee or being ban proof.
Be aware that the new HAWX game has a new video layer that the current hacked firmware can't read. New games will often be using this video data from now on, so there is a new firmware supposed to be coming out to read it. A flash will be in order for most users. |

Thanks for the info Shane.
I was going to download HAWX but I read about this new layer in the comments. For the new firmware, would a trip to Yongsan suffice? How much does a flash cost there? Thanks for the help. |

Just a heads up. 1.51 which includes the new video support came out today and supports all drives. When I really want a game that has the new data I will get it re flashed.
Editr: there is a guy on here that said he can flash. |
