This one is specifically for other long-term residents married to Koreans who reside in Seoul.

The wife and I have been married for 3 years and have recently been looking into getting in on the government-sponsored SHIFT housing scheme.

http://www.shift.or.kr/

What I'm wondering is whether anyone has gone through the application process and been approved or otherwise.

We understand that applicants must have a special savings account for a specified period of time before applying, but the scheme is also geared towards newly-weds. Would anyone know if a couple married for 3 years is still eligible? Also, what if a couple is approved but not in a 구 of their choice. Is it legal to sell the lease to a realtor or private buyer?

Any experience-based insight and/or information would be appreciated and beneficial to others in a similar situation.[/url]
