				| I work for a public school and the contract says they will either buy or reimburse me for a ticket, but won't give me the money.
I don't want to go home.

I was thinking that I could buy a ticket, and then cancle it. That's kind of expensive though.

 What would you suggest?

				| I suggest you buy a refundable ticket at a travel agency. Hand it to your supervisor. Wait until you get the airfare, cancel the ticket. I think there's a small fee, but it's still to your advantage. Then buy a ticket you want. | |

				| Reserve the ticket, but don't pay for it. Send them the reservation info. Just make sure to edit out the "payment pending" info. | |

				| You can usually change dates and names on a ticket for a price. Arrange a deal with a person you know that lives in your country, near the airport you'll be traveling to. | |

Would that seriously work? Did anyone try it?

Perhaps not completely applicable because it was from a hagwon....

But I got my plane ticket home and then had it refunded for a 10% charge.

The great thing about it was that the money I received from that was more than enough to pay for 5 other flights to various places.
