I don't wear a baseball cap backwards.. Shocked I don't even wear baggy jeans.. Shocked Shocked

It does seem like a bit of a 'straight out of american college' uniform to me.
Throw in some earphones, a backpack, and I'd say you'd cover 90% of white 30 & under foreign teachers..

Damn I love generalising Very Happy

To be fair, I haven't spent a lot of time in Seoul.. definitely noticed it while I was there though.

I love wearing my cap anywhere I go. But I've never worn it backwards.

That's an occasion I save leave for back home

when you get together with the boys,

bust open the chips and peanuts,

break out the 24-pack of Labatts,

while watching the fifth game of the World Series. Very Happy

Don't wear a baseball hat much, but sometimes it's backwards and sometimes it isn't.

Not a style thing (you've rarely seen anybody more removed from fashion than me), but sometimes one way feels comfortable and sometimes the other way feels comfortable.

My guess is that the OP saw me walking around Seoul one weekend... I've worn a red hat backwards every day for 5 years now and before that, I had a blue hat (worn forwards) for 4 years. It's just a habit and just like grabbing my coat on the way out the door, I grab my hat. Toss in the backpack if I'm staying overnight somewhere and the mp3 player that I bought to entertain me when I'm on the busride from Icheon to Seoul and yeah, I figure he saw me.

Got a goatee too... your point about all of this?

I think you may see some defiant white kids "puttin that on". Would seem to me like a real trend hater who is wearing what is definitely out of style on purpose just to annoy people.
I think that came out of the american black urban scene about 15 years ago and then it spread out to suburbs/college campuses in the 90's. I thought it had run it's course already and the kids were more pop orientated with the "white stripes", "outkast" and easy things like that....

I would like to see that style comeback again now, immediately, as a reaction to the typical cycle of fashion.
There's a lot of good things happening now, rap is dead and kids are playing their guitars again.

I always wear my cap when I workout. Sometimes, it's worn backwards sometimes not. Just depends on the exercise. Keeps the sweat out of my face. But, it's also by force of habit.

Well, I have seen KOREAN guys wear a baseball cap backwards and sideways, too. Complete with baggy jeans, etc. I also saw my Korean friend's guy friend rapping at Club Hooper in Hongdae one night.

Backwards caps went out with Fred Durst.
Baggy pants went out in 1994.
Pull your pants up to your waistline were they belong and do something about your hair.
