1) I think tomato & sjv8603 should take a naked hike on the sandy riverbank in 장호원 together.
2) I think fat people are (as repeated a million times on Dave's by a certain poster whos name escapes me) "bad and immoral".
3) I never smell of BO. |

2) I am auditing a Korean history grad class taught in Korean. (for fun)
3) I feel guilty if I read today's newspaper before I finish reading yesterday's |

1) I have more books than I could ever read in a lifetime
2) For being over 50, I act and relate as someone much younger (I'm 37 in my head)
3) I'm posting this out of selfish reasons because I think it's one of the more interesting topics on this website and I like reading about people |

1) I once saw a dead body in a pool of blood on the sidewalk in front of me.
( I was behind a double parked white van on a single lane city road. I decided to back up & drive around the corner instead of wait . In that time, the driver of the white van shot his ex-wife, kidnapped his daughter & shot his ex wife's new boyfriend thru the head, outside) I kept a copy of the next days newspaper.
2) I'm 40, new to ESL & have no plans to return to the USA for the next decade.
(First time outside the USA, besides the Caribbean & I'm gonna see as much of the world as possible before it's too late)
3) I NEED a haircut! Haven't had one in almost 3 years.
( As part of my 'bucket list', I'm donating my hair to 'Wigs for Kids to help kids w/ cancer & can't cut it til it gets to 12 inches) It probably already IS 12 inches, but I'm waiting til I lose 30 lbs. I figure being fat AND bald is 2 strikes against me that I DON'T need! So, if you see a chubby, long haired blond dude at a pub in Daejeon or Seoul, that's probably me. Cheers !!!
4) I'm wondering how many of the previous posters on this thread are still in Korea & how life turned out for them. Kinda creepy reading your own words years after the fact, I'd imagine. |

Totally true story. IF I didn't back up & drive around the corner, I might not be here today. I woulda had a front row seat to the killing, and as a witness , why NOT shoot me ???
I'm in Korea these days, teaching English , enjoying the safe, 'gun-free' public transportation! ha ha |

Glad you are here. I am also in Korea, although not teaching. I work as an IT guy for a contract company in Pyeongtaek. One of the reasons I like it here is that it's actually safer than the states. |

1. My high school guidance counselor called my mom into his office and actually told her that I was not going to be successful. She cried.
2. I daydream constantly about buying/living on a deserted island like Robinson Crusoe. I'm really trying to figure that one out.
3. I hate working, and I would do anything to stay home all day and lay around in my underwear. |

1. I've been away from my home country (UK) since 18th November 2002, but I don't miss it and I've never felt homesick. However, I'm still proud to be British and think the place has many great things going for it. I'm just happy living where I am.
2. I can eat most things, but can't stand fish - or any seafood for that matter. Even the sight of a fish, dead or alive, turns my stomach. How could I possibly then put bits of these things in my mouth and eat them, even if they are dead and cooked.
3. I strongly dislike children. If I'm out shopping or whatever, I give the screaming, snotty little brats a wide birth. I will refuse to sit at a table near children in any kind of restaurant. |
