I have no formal teaching in English but I have studied a lot about systems. It took me a few months to notice that the students can't even write basic sentences.
I thought they were learning that in their other classes with their KT.
So now I have kids take a paper and pen to all conversation classes with me.
I notice as their writing skills improve so does their speaking ability.
I started with the 7 years old today and it won't be long before they can write as well as the average middle school student. |

It really took you a couple months to notice that the children couldn't write basic sentences? |

I was thinking the same thing.
In Kindergarten, I started with Signposts. After that would have come Secrets, Rewards, Panorama...Somewhere in there was Rainbows. Those are the old Houghton Mifflin textbooks. They're every bit as good now as they were back in the Carter administration. |
