I'm not a fan of Sony laptops in Korea because of premium price.
Honestly, I'd tell you to go with a similar HP model. |

2.5 million!!! Holy crap! I'm sure you can get those specs for a lot less. Even in rip-off Korea. |

It's a nice machine, but not worth the money. |

The GHZ is a bit overated. DDR3RAM, and a fast HDD would probably even more useful. I have had a lot of trouble with Sony customer service in the past , as a result I will never buy a product from them again. THey are innovative but I think their A/S sucks. |

I went to Yongsan today and looked at Sony and HP laptops but couldn't find one that didn't look like an ugly plastic POS.
Between Sony and HP laptops, I did prefer the HPs. Their Elitebooks looked nice. |

Hope you're not a gamer.
That GPU will only run modern games on low settings. It should play HD video fine though.
That still seems very expensive. Portability seems to be way overpriced. I can build a desktop for one third of that price that would totally blow away the laptop in power terms. |

I'm content with its specifications. I don't want to play any games on it. I'll be playing MKV DVD files on it. |

When I was a HW/SW tech part time I used to do a lot of work on Sony Laptops.
They all had things in common like shoddy build quality, major heat issues, and loaded with bloatware.
From my experience, the best notebook computers were:
1. Thinkpads
2. Dell Lattitudes
3. HP's
4. Toshiba
5. Compaqs
6. Sony Vaio's
If you are going to drop 2.5 mil on a laptop, get a Thinkpad. You can drop this laptop dozens of times and it'll still keep on ticking 4 years down the road. Even with a cracked to hell frame. |

I did, too, and I totally agree, but Sonys looked the coolest.
Also, Thinkpads are freeking tanks. There's a reason all the US government places used them. They're not branded by IBM anymore, but it's the same machine - Lenovo, I believe. |

I bought Dell through Dell Korea and had nothing but problems with it. Will never buy another Dell through Dell Korea. I bought a Sony Vaio in the states and love the performance. The only problems I've had is that a dead pixel upon arrival and the startup is extremely slow. Sony now offers something called Clean Start that sends you a machine minus the bloatware. Sony does have a lot of bloatware... The rig you posted does sound overpriced, though. |
