So, I've had to move out of my old apt, had to go looking for new apt, and been booked on an am flight tomorrow am for Japan. all in 1 days notice.

Anyways, does anyone know how early I need to be at airport before my flight? Lves at 9:30

Sure I'd find the info if I had more time.

Thanks

You're usually asked to be there at least 2 hours in advance, so as the previous poster said 7:30 would be best.

The above are true (and the best ) but I made a flight to Japan with 15 minutes to spare last year. It was a hell of a run and almost missed the plane but we did it.

If you don't have any bags to check you can do an online check-in with most airlines. When you get to the airport you print out the boarding pass at the Airline machine and go right to the security check. I went to Sweden in January and was in the boarding area in less then 25 minutes. The reason the airlines tell you to be there 2 hours ahead is so they can sell your ticket if you don't show. If you check in online you are also less likely to get bumped. Some airlines won't let you check in unless your have a frequent flyer card, but many don't require this.
