Has anyone used Google Voice yet?

It sounds like they are aiming to compete with Skype, and more.

I gather GrandCentral was sort of the beta version.

I assume it will be usable in Korea. Haven't seen any notice on my gmail account yet. They say it will be linked. But google does so much stuff now who can find it all.

If you figure out what it does, let me know.

https://www.google.com/voice/about

Message my brother left me while I was sleeping..:

i put your email on the google voice list so they'll notify you when you can sign up
google voice used to be grand central
where they gave you a phone number
and you can link all your phones to that one number
so everytime you change your phone number it doesnt matter
caller id will still work meaning mobile mobile still works since thats the way it functions
and then theres visual voicemail and phone book
and voicemail transcribing
change ringtone and everything

So guess you need to have used Grand Central (both my brothers used it.. I never bothered :p) or have someone to "invite" you? Like how gmail was when it first started I guess.

edit: found the invite request page: https://services.google.com/fb/forms/googlevoiceinvite/

and the international thing:
Choosing your Number: Choosing an international numberPrint
It's not currently possible to select an international Google number or to forward your calls to an international number.
