Hi,

I'm looking at a job in Incheon but they will only pay up to w300,000 per month for apartment.

I've only lived in mid-sized Korean cities and guess that amount won't get me much in the bigger cities.

Please inform.

The trick isn't in the montly pay... 300k will get you by... BUT... you've gotta put down about 5-10mil in "key money". More money = less monthly pay. Actually if you give them 25-50mil you don't have to pay rent at all.

They'll put up the key money but I wasn't sure if 300,000/month was enough for middle of Incheon.

Not sure but I think my only barely acceptable apt last year in a small city cost between 200~250/mth.

Sounds a bit low. I doubt they will put up more than 10 million in key money.

It all depends on what sort of place you want I suppose.
