I inadverdantly clicked on the 'update' button and now microsoft windows has declared me to be a victim of counterfeit software, and wishes me to do more stuff to get 'validated'.
Running Windows Xp.
How do I get around this?
( it is a second hand computer so no disks or software to reinstall)

Do a google search on getting rid of Wgatray.exe (WGA = Windows Genuine Advantage, HA!). There are a load of solutions and some of them don't seem to work. The one that worked for me was this one:

It seemed all the methods I found in English wouldn't work, so I thought maybe finding a Korean one would work with my Korean Windows, and it did. |
