First of all...Thank you for always answering my silly questions. I'm so clueless when it comes to technology. My brain has the processing speed of a Pentium 1.
All of my classes are laptop compatible. But I don't have a laptop. So I'm wondering if if would be possible to hook my iRiver up for video output. I'm pretty sure audio is just fine but is there an adapter one could urchase for video. Or do you think that red cable would work for a Digital camera? If not...someone should invent this. It would be some much more convenient as opposed to lugging your laptop around with you. |

Please rephrase what you're trying to say.
first not sure what you mean by Laptop compatible.
second, you want to have your iriver show a video instead of your laptop? |

Sorry I meant to attach a picture so you wold know what cables I ws talking about but I can't figure ou how to attach the picture.....once again...Pentium 1.
But yes, I want to use my iRiver instead of a laptop because I don't have a laptop. I know I can get sound out, I just plug the speaker cable into my iRiver. There is another cable you hook into your laptop so you can view the screen. I know I can't hook that into my iRiver, but is there an adapter that would allow me to do that and then have my iRiver screen show up on the projector screen??? I laso have a Nintendo DTS which might work as well. Do youknow what I mean??? If not...well then I guess this will remain one of my magic wand fantasies. |

Ok , he obviously means his classrooms are set up so that you can connect a laptop to a projector, so either you are an idiot, or you are just trying to give this guy a hard time by being a Royal Johnson.

Does your iRiver have any output other than the one for sound/headphones? If not, you're out of luck. |

There is a USB output and one more but I've never figured out what it was for. It's also circular like the headphone jack.
I guess it's imposible, eh! I guess there's no such adapter for something like this. Hmmnn... but seriously wouldn't it be cool if you could do that.
Thanks for defending me (above) poster. But being technologically slow I'm used to getting a hard time about it. But not on this site. Actually the people in the tech forum are the nicest. I guess the techies really know how to treat a lady (cuz actually I'm a lady). |
