I have a computer I bought at Costco here in Korea (an HP). I'm going back to the states for a month or so. It has a three prong holes on the power brick. Is there a way to get a two prong adapter converter or something like that for my computer? Please forgive me, I'm computer illiterate. |

Technically you should just be able to purchase another power supply unit (PSU) from your local computer shop, if you are concerned about compatibility you can always contact HP directly and purchase a PSU from them directly.
Installing it is as simple as removing it, so there should be little problem for you or a close friend doing it. |

If you look on the power brick for your laptop it should say what power its rated for. If it says 110 - 240v then all you need is an adapter which you should be able to get for very cheap in Korea.
If your power brick is only rated for 240v, I'd check prices of a HP power brick and compare with the many universal power bricks out in the market. I think Best Buy even carries quite a few. Oh and if you do buy a different power brick, make sure the amps match up. (that info is also on your brick) |
