I have been lurking on the boards a few months, and this is my first post.

As of this moment, I'm looking at two hagwons in the southern Seoul whereabouts. I wanted to see if anyone knows anything about these schools or areas.

1. Ehwa Language School (Suji - Yongin)
So far, I have had a good impression of the school itself. I have even seen pictures of the apartment I'll be living in. Yet I've heard negative things about the Yongin area itself. I was wondering if Suji was different, since it's nearer to Suwon.

2. Ansan Kids Herald (Ansan)
This is near the Hanyang University subway stop. Does anyone know anything about this school?

Thanks,
Zen

CORRECTION--

Ewha ALS

I have read of one incident where a teacher was charged rent. Wanting to know some more.

Also, I have a big list of questions to ask the foreign teachers that I contact at these schools. Any ideas for questions that I may have missed? My goal is to find out something beyond the one teacher's opinion. I've read of some schools even forcing the teachers to hype up their schools.

Example: Asking straight out how many foreign teachers have left before their contracts were through is an indicator if there are a handful of runners or firings (if the person is honest about it).

Thanks. I've been checking all the blacklists, and I'm finding stuff about the chains themselves but not much about those particular branches. There's an old one about Ewha Suji. I posted on here after I had checked the blacklists. Wanted to know if anyone knew something more.

I have heard very little good from Kids Herald. I was checking one in particular and the wages seem okay but the hours are split shifts which makes the day drag out

I work there now. AM still new, but PM me and I'll give you more info. Unless your name is Joe, than I've already emailed you about it. If you're looking into Kids Herald, we're hiring another teacher in Feb. and possibly another one in March, preferably males.
