I just thought I'd pass it on. I've been buying palladium and platinum in rough melted form from a jeweler in Seoul. They sell in in units of Korean don (3.75 grams). They are asking a little above the current market ask price.
I was curious and bought some platinum, had it assayed in the USA in Feb 2009 and it was indeed 99.99. If anyone is interested PM me, I'll give you her contact information and details. The contact person is a very nice Korean lady.
There is another place that melts 99.99 silver BB's (common storage form for jewelers) into generic ingots with their stamp on it. Like I said, PM me if you're interested. |
