can anyone tell me what to do...i have some keys on the right side of the keyboard that are sticking due to spilled coke..laptop running fine...just coke dribbled on it...concrete suggestions, please. |

Most laptops will allow you to remove the keyboard easily. There shoudl be some screws in the bottom you unscrew.
Once you remove the keyboard, you can pop out the individual keys and clean the keyboard with some cottom swaps. Push the keys back on (they should snap in) and then screw the keyboard back into your notebook computer. |

If it is only a couple keys, then pop the keys out with a flat head, clean and pop the keys back in. |

page up and down keys, cursor keys, backspace, shift, enter , alt and delete keys are affected and the ? key
they say the keys are on hinges..so worried about breaking the hinges
anyone ever done this before on a laptop? |

"Be very careful when you are unplugging the keyboard cable from the motherboard.
the keyboard cable is clipped into a connector on the motherboard. You can unlock the connector by moving the 2 tabs on either side of the connector forwards (towards the screen), on my laptop the tabs are white. This releases the keyboard cable and you can now remove the keyboard fully." |
