| Just noticed that S. Korea and N. Korea will be battling it out for the world cup qualifier in Seoul on April 1st. Anyone have tickets? Anyone know how how I would go about buying them? Please help! |

They won't be available for a couple of weeks (Korea style).
To buy tickets when they become available, go to any Hana Bank branch and you can buy them there. They should have a diagram with the different sections of the stadium so you can choose in what area you want to sit. I'm not sure about prices, but I think they're usually around 25,000 won.
It won't be a sellout and don't expect too much from the game. SK-NK games usually end in boring draws. |

| If you want to see the ROK team drag their ass and play at about 50% effort, go for it. |

| South Korea and North Korea are the top two teams in Group B qualification. Iran is third, followed by Saudi and then UAE. Because of this, the game should be closes to a sell-out. I went to a North South game back in 2005 that was sold out, so I know it happens. This should be a good game, despite what the "soccer know-it-alls" on here say. They think 0-0 means that both teams suck...stupidity speaks for itself. |

The last 2 or 3 times, to my memory. Talk about cheating the fans.

Yeah, cheating the fans. England cheated their fans by not scoring against Spain, I am sure they did it on purpose. Your lack of soccer knowledge is very amusing to me. The fact that you can't separate your hatred for Korea to have a neutral opinion about the soccer team. You truly have an enlightened mind... |

As much as I do not see eye-to-eye with Ilsanman on many things, he has a point here. The last three or four SK-NK games have been painful to watch. It seems the SK does not go full out.
The last game, in Shanghai, was a 1-1 tie and SK turned it on late to get the equalizer. They also did not play their entire A squad: Seol, Ki-hyun, Kim, Nam-il and Kim, Do-hyeon were not in the lineup. |

When the North plays the kind of defence they do against the South, it is hard for it to be a beautiful game. They constantly play with 5 in the back and just play the long ball to Jeong Tae Sae up front. It is not SK's fault for this, they are a talented team but they they aren't European.
As far as Seol Ki Hyun and Kim Nam Il go, they haven't been on the team for a while. Seoul played a year ago I believe, but he has been crap. Kim Nam Il is old and didn't have that great of a year in Japan, that is why he wasn't picked for the Iran game. |

One does not have to be a soccer expert to see the difference between someone putting 100% into a game, and a team dragging their ass.
The SK team said before 'Let's go to World Cup together.' Spiking the results and causing draws when they are up on points sure helps NK get their spot.

Sportsguy35, have you even watch the last few North-South Korean games?
The last one was awful and it was painfully obvious what South Korea was doing.
I appreciate the game of soccer and watch it regularly. I know well enough that a 0-0 game can still be exciting and entertaining. However, when one side has essentially thrown the game, it is boring as hell.
You sound like a big soccer fan that automatically assumes other people don't understand the sport and use insulting, condescending language to get your point across.
Let's go to the World Cup together speaks volumes. |
