I know this has been brought up a bunch of times but oh well.
I want to buy a voltage converter tomorrow. Can someone tell me exactly where to go to buy one. I cant find one at my local E-Mart. I went to Yongsan about 2 weeks ago and the electronics department was closed for remodeling or something.
Appreciate the help! |

Yongsan was closed!! I don't think so. Maybe one part of it. Yongsan is a huge sprawl of many different buildings.
You'll find your converter somewhere in Yongsan, but I'd recommend using your local electronics store. Every neighborhood has one. They can be identified by the old stereos and TV's sitting outside in an insanely heroic attempt at selling them........he'll sort you out with a converter. |

It's "possible" they were out of stock when you went to Emart, but definitely you'll find some there.
If need be, print out a picture from Google image so you can show someone at Emart what you're looking for, and they'll show you where the converters are. |

If you still are interested in selling your converter then please email me at [email protected]
this stupid website won't let me send any pms unless I make a minimum of 25 posts, so I can't contact anyone individually. |

It is unlikely you need a voltage converter. YOu might need a plug converter, a little bit of plastic that plugs into the Korean sockets, and lets you plug your <insert your countries name here> plug. 5000 won is expensive for this.
Most modern electronics are rated for 110V to 250V. Just look on the device, or the power brick to be sure.

No, I definitely need a voltage converter. I am trying to get my xbox 360 to work without frying the hell out of it. It is 3 prong. I guess I should have mentioned that. |

I would be very surprised if it isnt rated for 250V.
Have a look at its power specs, they will be on there somewhere....

It says 100 - 127V 5A
and
Input AC 100V
Does not mention 210V. So I am pretty sure I need a converter. I appreciate the help though!! |
