The last week or two, I have been having trouble getting sites to load. I just get the 'page load error/address not found' error page. These sites used to load no problem, but now they won't open. I can get to them using proxy servers, but then they don't work properly. Anybody know what my problem may be and why all of a sudden they won't load? Here is a link to one of the sites (see, no bad stuff):

Does it work for you? |

Loads fine with Google Chrome.
As a general tip, it's good to have all the browsers installed and ready to use if certain websites are tricky.
My home computer has, in order of how much I use them, Chrome, IE8, Firefox, Opera.........If one doesn't load a website, then usually another one will. |

| I use Chrome and still can't get it to load. I have different browsers as well, but none of them will load it, yet if I use a proxy there is no problem. I have no idea what is causing this to happen. It seems to be happening to an ever increasing number of sites. |

| You are having the exact same problem as myself and colleagues here at work. Believe it or not your work can actually "block" specific sections of sites. We've tested this theory many times and it no longer is a theory, sections of yahoo (yahoo sports for example, along with espn sports) show the "page load" error but the rest of the site loads fine. I never thought they could actually block specific sections but they can and do. It's really weird because it's not anything controversial, simply sports stuff we like to look at. I used to use gpass.com which you can try yourself. It worked great for a couple of months but they have even found out how to stop it from working. I tried several ip hider sites like you've tried but encountered the same problem as it won't load all of the site, usually due to java script not loading. |
