Hey Pals,
Does anyone know a good computer repair place in Daegu? I dropped my laptop. Also, how about shopping on Craig's List. If I buy one from the US, can it be sent here? Is that insanely expensive? Please help.

Calm Down. Next give details! What kind of Laptop!. What damage have you done? Where did you buy it? Does it have a warranty?

All these question will affect what happens next?

Might have to replace the power port on my laptop soon (can get parts, just don't trust my sodering skills)... Would take up at most 2 hours... Anyone got a guess on avalibility and price?

Strictly, you're supposed to bring any computery thing to the A/S center of the manufacturer.

Most manufacturers have an A/S center in Yongsan, Seoul. Outside Seoul, you'll probably need to ask a Korean to look up the nearest A/S center of that manufacturer.

That's what you're meant to do. But the official A/S centers tend to be expensive. The work will be in some way guaranteed though.

If you want another way then just bring the broken thing into any neighborhood computer store. But, I'm guessing they'll just ship it off to the A/S center and then charge you their cut on top of the A/S center's price.

Can anyone confirm if Acer has an A/S centre at Yongsan? (I'm sure they do somewhere... lol)

Unless you're confident on the Korean internet, you'll need a Korean friend to look that up for you.

Or someone on the board who has gone before Wink

Thanks for the info though... waiting to see if it's simply a problem with the power cord (have a new one on order as well, lol...). Hopefully everything works out
