I am apparently in charge of the drama club here and have to try to organize a play or group of scenes for some students to do, 5th and 6th grade level. A lot of the stuff I'm finding in terms of children's plays are a little bit above them. Has anyone on here ever done something like this or know of any good resources for ESL plays? |

Ardentis,
For these grades, I'd really, really, really suggest The Little Mole. Korean students are quite familiar with the book and I made a play adaptation. Also get there the video book. http://eflclassroom.ning.com/resources/topics/826870:Topic:50780
Also, in the EFL Classroom 2.0 video section there is a great play by a grade 6 after school class. Marvellous and please show your students. Called, "A Korean Love Story". This will really motivate them. I just featured it on the main page.
Cheers,
David |
