| In a notebook write down every movie I've seen and the dates I saw them. I've done this since 2004. Anyone else keep track like this? |

A couple of other methods.
If you have a PMP you could save the movie posters of films you have seen to a folder and keep that as a reference. Saves carting a notebook around everywhere.
If you really have a problem with memory you could tattoo yourself, like in Memento.
I did write down the movies I watched and rated them during the two months I was forced to live in a love motel by my first school while they house hunted for me. (My daily nagging was the only reason I got my own place.) I couldn't sleep with the noise in the area so I ended up seeing about 60-70 movies in those two months! |

Sorry, double post. You can tell from my username that I take movies seriously. Before I started my excel file, I just kept my ticket stubs. I have a big stack of tickets somewhere back at my parent's house.

I just don't get this.........making lists of films you've seen.
But, hey. I'm not one to knock a geeky pursuit. It is a bit like trainspotting though.
Go for it if it's your thing..... |

While I dont keep a list of all the fims I have seen, I do keep track of some.
I often go into movie watching phases, where I will watch a movie or two per day, sometimes three. It was hard to find enough good movies to keep this going, so I started grabbing lists of good movies from two Australian reviewers, David and Margaret.
I dumped them into a spreadsheet and just check them off as I watch them, it stops me downloading something I have already seen, but didnt remember the name.
Watching movies that one of them gave 4.5 or 5 stars to is enough to keep me in movies, and means I rarely get one I dont like.

I never delete movies so at the moment I have about 700 movies on harddrives of which i have seen maybe 550 of them
When I see a movie I move it from the new folder to the appropriate category. |

I write down the Korean movies I watch. Why? Well, I majored in Korean studies and it just felt the "right" thing to do. Anyway, here's the 177 K-flicks I actually remember watching. The list might miss 5 to 10 titles, though. To tell you the truth, I haven't watched K-movies for quite some time now. Maybe I just had my fill of them? Some these movies are actually pretty good, but quite a few... well... a vast number of them is not that good.

| Hey, stop baggin' on the OP. Many people keep lists. I personally keep a list of all the people I suspect of secretly being Communists. I hardly got to see any events when I went to Beijing last summer because of it. So lists can have their downside. |
