Actually it was from [email protected] .
All he did was put "Windows" and "Live" as his first and second name when he signed up^^

Good call asking. As a rule of thumb, never send your information to anyone who randomly sends an e-mail asking for it.
Also report the e-mail as spam, or send it to customer service at hotmail so they can ban the user, and possibly note other information. |

Yeah I reported it and they aksed me to send the header etc (which I had to look upon Google how to do...) who knew there was all that info there...my new hobby
They also got bacl to me to confirm what we all know now. I can see how easy it is to be nearly fooled, even tho I am usually really susupicious. (I have had my hotmail account closed twice due to forgetting to check it). |

Next time someone sends you an email - and you want to find out more about the sender (or owner of the email address) - just google the email address.
People post their email addresses and phone numbers on many forums and sites - and just google their email address - its easy to find out who they are. |

I don't think hotmail addresses ever get deleted. I've had one since well before they were owned by Microsoft. Even ignored it for a couple of years, it's still there chugging away. I use it quite a bit now. |

Hotmail is horrible.
Hotmail puts my "automated on vacation reply" on when ever it feels like it. |

I don't think you want to ever reply to spam, then they'll know it's an address that gets used.
Gmail FTW! |
