Just wondering if anyone else has noticed a HUGE increase in the humidity in the past few days.

Yes, I'm from Toronto, and I guess it's still a little hard for me to get used to. (It took a while in the summer when I arrived here, but it might take a while to get readjusted after our wonderfully dry winter --- where clothes would try in a matter of hours!).

hm i have switched from my richer moisturizer to a lighter one these past few days.. dunno if its b/c of humidity or if its just b/c my face feels dirty with all the dust >_>

your clothes dried in a few hours in the freezing cold?? mine took much longer to dry >_> It would freeze over and slowly dry during the day.. took maybe 2-3 days for laundry to dry for me.

Haha I'm from Alabama, so I think I've developed an ability to hyperabsorb the humidity and turn it into awesome.

"Awesome" as in I hope I brought enough deoderant to last me.

Yes. It blew in at exactly 1:30am on Thursday morning. Really odd! It's like the seasons decided to change immediately. I was up and heard the wind start whistling for a minute... very high wind. Then bam... like a switch, it happened. More humid. Hotter.

You've already experienced the summer? Then maybe you'll be okay. The real humidity will get here once the weather spikes, too.

It wont be fun.

I can't feel it but I've seen evidence of it.

Our bathroom is no longer drying itself and we have to use a fan to keep it from molding over. My laundry takes 36 hours to dry (in the kitchen) instead of 18.

This is nothing. Wait til it's hot and humid and your armpits soaks as soon as you walk out the door.

Yeah, I got here just in time for the monsoon season (July). I'm not complaining, just wondering if other people noticed the sudden change. I guess Toronto is fairly stable when it comes to seasons changing . . . I've never experienced such decisive seasonal changes before.

I definitely noticed it. Before the mornings were hovering around zero degrees and I was wearing a wool overcoat. Now just long sleeve sweatshirt. It's nice but I would have preferred a gradual descent. This sudden increase just means our bloodsucking friends will return sooner.

The humidity is noticeable but, I wouldn't say it's insane.......... yet.

Really, really dreading the arrival of the mosquitoes though.

My coteacher says its supposed to get cold again.. the weather is here is like back home (georgia).. goes up a lot, then down some... then up a lot again, then down some again.. and opposite when it got colder.

Instead of the bloodsucking ones, the annoying flies are around again today >< there's a ton of them today b/c everyone has their windows open

You talking about the really big flies??? They always freak me out when they fly into the classroom. Reminds me of a bee...

I've seen seasons change like the flip of a switch here before. A couple years ago I felt summer turn to fall when I was swimming in the ocean and a cold current came in.

This change so far is nothing insane, and I come from a much drier climate than Toronto.
