Hi,
I have an HP zv5000 as a second laptop, but the power jack has totally failed on me todayㅜㅜ.
I've found a work-around from Mr Google.
Bypass the dodgy power jack (which is costly to replace) by using the XC-1000all in one media cable or a standard docking station.
This should give power to the laptop through an alternate connection than the power jack.
Where can I lay my hands on one in Korea? |

So you want to purchase an expansion base, is what you're saying?
I have the HP xb3000 model expansion base. Power plugs in on the left of my notebook through that jack/plug. You can find them in Yongsan's Sun-in building, I'll bet. Go to one of the HP shops there. I believe it came with an adapter for an older model, like yours. Otherwise, look for this:

You're probably better off having it serviced anyway. |
