I used to watch college basketball, but well, now the good hoopsters can bypass college and go straight to the pros.

Not true*. They have to spend at least one year in college now - which is actually forcing a lot of them to rethink going to the NBA when they realize they have a lot to work on.

*the exception is Brandon Jennings, who skipped college and is playing in Europe - his draft stock has suffered a little because of this choice though.

Gotta watch them on the internet-

OP, the funny this is one of those times when we all see, for certain, that most foreign teachers here are either Canadians or teaching with fake diplomas (or both Rolling Eyes ) as NO ONE is even aware that colleges play basketball, let alone that there's a tournament. Yeah, it's like that. Rolling Eyes

a few years ago nashville in itaewon had the final four on. not sure recently. sometimes i wonder if a bar that played basketball, baseball, etc., much like rmt does hockey and scrooge does rugby, wouldn't do well in seoul. i guess just being an "american" bar would draw ire from koreans and foreigners alike, particularly the among the efl ranks, if it wasn't situated next to a military installation.

I've been watching them here all day. You can rewatch any of the old games, too! It's fantastic. THere was a sign on my office Friday that said 'Dont Disturb the Waeguk, He Has March Madness'.

Yes, everyone was confused.

I think some of us are heading out tonight to try and find a bar. I mean I watched a soccer game last weekend for crissakes. . . Rolling Eyes

Hmm, I wonder how Kobe Bryant would've done had he gone to college (Duke was the most likely candidate).

Yeah, I agree this is a good move but that won't make me watch college basketball much again.
