I lost my alien registration card a couple weeks ago when i got out of a taxi. I'm going on the assumption i will never find it (and that it will not get mailed to me).

a) I am in my second year here.
b) I extended this second contract an extra month so i need to extend my visa.

Just some basic questions:
1) what sort of papers could I be expected to bring to immigration
2) Will someone from my school be expected to go with me?
3) Would this have any affect on my visa extension?

I'm hoping i can get more solid info than heresay and conjecture

This thread oughta help.

Just bring some ID, passport will probably be necessary to the immigration office. You don't need anyone from your school to go with you, cause they already have the paperwork. I don't know if it will affect your visa extension, but I don't see why it should.

You'll need a police report as well.
