Hi:
Does anyone have any information on short-term, low-cost apartment rentals in the Phillipines, example, Cebu, or other areas you might suggest (looking for peaceful, safe area to use as a travel base)
I can visit for 6 months on a tourist passport (USA). |

I can rent you my house in Davao. Very peaceful there. How do you get a 6 month visa? You usually get about a month then have to renew it. |

not sure where you got your information from...
You can stay up to 16 months but need to get an extension every 2 months and need your alien registration after 4 months (unless you are Balikbayan). You get 21 days on a tourist visa waiver entry stamp, extend for 38 more days (for a fee) then every 2 months after that.
Unless you have furniture you would probably be better off getting a room in a pension house on a monthly rate ($200-300). |
