Hey guys, had my wallet stolen last night in Itaewon.

Luckily for me I had most of my cash in my pocket (which I never do and have no clue why I even did).

The thing I lost that I'm most worried about is my U.S. Driver's License/ID.

How do I get a new one? Can I get one at the U.S. Embassy? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I've only been here about 3 weeks so I don't have any of the IRC card/stuff like that.

Just pop on line to your states DMV web site. they will be able to answer questions specific to your state.

For NY the forms are available on line but had to mail them in with the fee, which was about $50 for a replacement license.

I actually got a replacement so I would have two. One that I could give to the Koreans for a Korean license and keep a U.S. one as well. That way I don't have to worry about getting it back if I have to go back to the States on short notice.
