For those people that try and save their money each month, how much and what percentage of your monthly salary are you able to save for a rainy day? Very Happy

Better to ask what expenses you can expect in Korea, that will give you an idea of what salary you require to achieve the savings you desire.

Here is a thread about that.

most people can live pretty comfortably on 1 million won per month. It really depends on where you live and what kind of lifestyle you lead. I'm 22 so I still like to hang out with friends at night and spend a little more money. The better question might be how people budget their money and in what city they live in. I don't really have a set budget, but I've been fine so far

try to save close to 2 million a month.

it all depends on how much you want to go out drinking. most things here are real cheap but if you take a long night out then a long taxi ride back home you can be spending upwards of 100,000 won a night on the weekend.

also, if you like hookers.

I save about 1.2 million month. If I'm working after school classes, all of that goes into savings too. So sometimes 1.6 million. I usually budget about a million won for spending money each month, though I don't always spend all of that.

Depends on your lifestyle. I try not to dump too much at the casinos, and I don't eat steak every night, either.

I stick close to 3.2-3.4 away every month. It varies.
